As someone who is passionate about working with people, I am constantly looking for ways to improve my clients’ experiences and make them feel comfortable and safe. Therefore, I believe that being well prepared for emergency situations is an important part of my professionalism.
For me, this includes being as prepared as possible for medical emergencies (which I hope never happen), whether it’s a minor cut or a critical medical emergency. That’s why I refresh my first aid course every two years and was reminded again of the importance of being prepared for unexpected situations. I was pleasantly surprised at how much new information I learned and how much my confidence has grown with each session so far. I definitely feel even more confident now than before to respond to any emergency situation that may arise.
- Also, like so many, have you not taken a first aid course since getting your driver’s license?
- Do you think it’s important to be able to help, whether it’s a cut or a stroke?
Then you should definitely attend a first aid course. You never know when you might need to help someone in an emergency situation, and having the proper knowledge can make all the lifesaving difference.
Check out the German Red Cross website, there are several courses that are offered.
