Making clear announcements while promoting cooperation - coaching on conflict and assertiveness skills

Team cohesion, customer satisfaction, collegiality, service orientation – these are all concepts that are becoming increasingly important in today’s working world to ensure sustainable business success.

But what if I regularly leave my meetings exhausted because I have the feeling that my colleagues, superiors or even business partners regularly challenge or even exceed my limits and I no longer know where my head is at because of all the to-dos?

In the last few months, I have received an increasing number of inquiries from individuals or entire teams that revolve around the following questions:

  • How do I manage to take good care of myself in these situations, to argue clearly or even to say “no” and at the same time remain appreciative of the person who is consciously or unconsciously challenging me and my strengths?
  • How do I manage to make the collaboration and relationship positive and at the same time draw boundaries in a way that is accepted by the other person?

In order to learn how to keep a cool head in such challenging situations, to clearly assert one’s own needs and at the same time to give the counterpart an appreciative feeling, coaching on conflict and assertiveness skills is a good idea.

An individual or team coaching, in which one specifically works on one’s own beliefs, the difference between role and person, and the clarification of tasks between colleagues, achieves great effects. Through reflection, but also through simulations of challenging “real” situations, it is possible to recognize previous patterns and to work out and practice alternative communication and behavioral habits.
